As a little kid I was always keeping and breeding small rodents as a hobby. I enjoyed working with animals and I am thankfull I managed to make my job out of it. I strive to keep and sell healthy animals. Unfortunately, animal wholesales don’t always have a good reputation in the public eye, everything we do here is by the book and done with passion and love for the animals. These days changes occur often within the European laws for us to follow or make protocols about. Doing something wrong isn’t an option, as we can expect unexpected checks from authorities every minute. We have a veterinarian who comes on weekly basis, to check all animals and who gives us advice. It is really nice what he does for us, because this way I know I have healthy animals and maintain a good animal welfare, also it supports me to guarantee quality to my customers.
The animal wholesale team
During the week we work with a team of six colleagues. Everybody has their own specialism and interests. Among them we have someone who takes care of the reptiles and amphibians and somebody else takes care of all the birds. This way the animals are well taken care of by our team of young people.
For us it is important that we have enthusiastic and motivated personnel rather than specific education in animal care. Knowledge is sometime you can learn and obtain while working. Attitude is something you either have or you don’t.
During the weekends we have a team of dedicated students who then take care of the animals and make all areas of the building ready for another week of hard work!
