The roots of Animal Wholesale Ron van der Vliet B.V. are located in Pijnacker (Zuid-Holland).

From a young age on Ron was interested in and showed talent for trading. The animal business started off with his first two rabbits at home, after which quickly the guinea pigs and chickens were welcomed. The garage was rebuilt for keeping and breeding mice together with a large aquarium. Ron his mother Joke was very supportive as long as no mice entered the Livingroom!

The first business location was a tiny carvan in the local public garden, surrounded by a small pasture for keeping and selling different animals. This is where the family business starts.

While Ron was still studying vet nursing, he welcomed the first interns at his own company during the lambing season.

The developments of the animal wholesale from start-up till present moment.

In 1997 the company moved to a local newly build unit in the village. Here it grew for another 4,5 years. Next thing Ron knows another and larger location for his continuously growing business was needed. This is when he moved to the countryside of Willemstad in Noord-Brabant. Here the immense job to change an old traditional barn into an animal wholesale had started. The main part of the job he did himself with help from Joke.

After almost 20 years in the renovated barn, the company is still growing and in 2015 Ron decides to build a modern building specially build to operate as an animal wholesale. This is the building we are located in nowadays. We have 7 departments for different kinds of animals. The building is built with a practical mindset and perfectly made for receiving, keeping and selling a variety of animals. Meanwhile there are six people employed and we welcome multiple new interns every year.

The power of Animal Wholesale Ron van der Vliet B.V. is the cooperation which made this company as what you see now, one of the bigger wholesales in Europe. The animal wholesale is built with Ron his passion for animals, vision for financial models and his perserverance to continue, together with the support and help from his wife Vanja and his parents.
